Something is waiting beneath
the Australian Outback
Australian Psychological Survival Horror
Your brother disappeared.
The Facility still remembers him.
In 1989, Michael Mercer vanished while investigating a restricted region of the Australian Outback. Then an emergency transmission arrived carrying his voice and a set of coordinates leading to a compound that officially does not exist.
You play as Bruce Mercer, following Michael’s trail through abandoned survey camps, altered wilderness and the buried remains of a Cold War research facility.
The gates are locked. The personnel are gone.
But the intercom still answers.
Australian Gothic horror
X300 draws its horror from isolation, distance and the unsettling familiarity of the Australian landscape.
Dust, heat and open horizons conceal a forgotten institution beneath the ground. Bureaucratic procedures have become rituals. Recorded voices offer instructions that may no longer be safe to follow. Something moves beyond the light and something inside the Facility is watching how you respond.
X300 alternates between the exposed wilderness of the Australian Outback and the controlled corridors of the underground Facility.
Above ground, navigate using maps, coordinates and a compass while searching for abandoned camps, hidden entrances and evidence of Michael’s journey
Below ground, investigate ageing machinery, solve analogue systems and navigate an institution whose procedures continue long after the people who created them have disappeared.
Every return to the surface takes you deeper into the landscape and closer to whatever drove the Facility underground.
KEY FEATURES
HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT

Cross isolated bushland, survey camps and restricted military territory while navigating by compass, landmarks and coordinates.
Solve analogue puzzles
Operate ageing machinery, decipher abandoned records and restore systems designed before computers became trustworthy.
NAVIGATE THE OLD WAY
Descend into the Facility
Discover Administration, Mechanical, Mining and Scientific sectors hidden beneath the landscape. The search for your missing brother will take you into a secret military base that still operates.
DOSSIER SYSTEM
Receive your Personnel Dossier
Your decisions reveal how the Facility classifies you. The question is not simply whether you survived but what your behaviour says about you. Your personal dossier is issued at the end of the game.
Earn authority
Recover military medals and credentials to convince automated systems and remaining personnel that you belong.
Survive an altered wilderness
Avoid, outmanoeuvre or confront hostile wildlife and failed experiments. Ammunition is limited, and fighting is not always the safest answer.
