X300 Kickstarter Campaign Announcement — Enter Facility Observation
Kickstarter Campaign Logo
Set within a decaying Cold War-era facility buried deep in the Australian outback, X300 places players inside an isolated environment shaped by fear, authority, paranoia, and survival. As players explore the abandoned installation searching for answers surrounding a missing brother, the facility quietly studies something else entirely: The player.
X300 is not simply a survival horror game. It is a psychological profiling experiment disguised as one.
Throughout the game, players will encounter a series of psychological scenarios and moral dilemmas designed to test human behavior under pressure. The game never asks players to select a “class” or personality type. Instead, X300 observes how players naturally react to stress, isolation, uncertainty, and fear.
Every decision contributes to a hidden psychological dossier.
What will you learn about yourself and your play style?
Do you:
obey authority?
resist control?
protect others at personal risk?
manipulate situations for survival?
pursue dangerous truths despite overwhelming danger?
emotionally detach and simply observe?
The facility tracks behavioral traits including and by the end of the experience, X300 generates a final dossier based not on what players say they would do but on how they actually behaved under pressure. The result is a deeply personal psychological profile that reflects the type of person the facility believes the player became during exposure to X300.
Why Kickstarter?
X300 is an ambitious psychological survival horror project that we have been developing independently with a small team. The game’s unique systems including the psychological dossier framework, branching behavioral scenarios, immersive Cold War environments, and survival mechanics require additional development resources to bring to life at the quality level we envision. Our Kickstarter goal is to raise $30,000 AUD to fund the production of a polished vertical slice of X300.
This vertical slice will function as a substantial playable demo that showcases the core vision of the project, including its very unique psychological profiling system. The funding will help us bring in additional:
developers
artists
audio support
and production assistance
Our intention is to use this polished vertical slice to approach investors and publishers for additional funding to complete the full game.
However, if the Kickstarter exceeds expectations, we plan to significantly expand the scope of the vertical slice with additional content, systems, environments, and gameplay features. And if support goes far beyond our initial target, our goal would be to continue development independently and move directly into full production of X300 without relying on external publishers or investors. At its core, this Kickstarter is about proving the concept, building momentum, and giving X300 the opportunity to become the full psychological horror experience we know it can be. By supporting the campaign, backers are helping a small independent team take the next major step toward bringing X300 fully to life.
